## About Supply chains are complex, dynamic systems involving multiple organizations with competing priorities, constantly shaped by external forces, market disruptions, and evolving global trends. This course equips you with frameworks to navigate this challenges, such as System Dynamics, a methodology developed at MIT to model and analyze complex, non-linear, and dynamic systems. Through case studies, simulations, and real-world applications, you’ll master critical competencies: understanding supply chain complexity and interdependencies, managing international supply chain operations, applying system dynamics modelling, conducting strategy and process analysis, and building risk mitigation and resilience strategies. By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped to anticipate disruptions, model complex trade-offs, and design supply chains that thrive in uncertain environments. Supply Chain Dynamics: SC3x is an instructor-paced course. Course content is released on a weekly basis, and a comprehensive syllabus, deadlines, and requirements are provided in Week 0 of the course. This Supply Chain Dynamics course is part of the MITx MicroMasters Credential in Supply Chain Management (SCM), offered by the top-ranked SCM Master's program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This is an open enrollment course, making it accessible for almost anyone, anywhere in the world to enroll and learn for free. ## What you'll learn * Identify and analyze sources of complexity, including exogenous factors, and assess their impact on operational performance * Build and interpret System Dynamics models to simulate supply chain scenarios and evaluate policy decisions * Assess risk sources across global supply chains and develop proactive mitigation strategies to enhance resilience * Navigate the unique challenges of international operations, including regulatory and logistical complexities * Design supply chain strategies that align operational capabilities with business objectives and market demands * Evaluate trade-offs between efficiency, flexibility, and resilience in complex supply chain networks ## Prerequisites None
